Blake Rutherford joined "Making Money with Charles Payne" on Fox Business News to further discuss immigration policy and its portrayal by both parties in recent times. When asked about former President Bill Clinton’s stance on immigration that reflected some similar tenets now articulated by Donald Trump, Blake said, “The issue with Donald Trump is the rhetoric he uses. Consider his speech in Phoenix where he characterized all immigrants as criminals.”

He then expanded on the problems he associates with Trump’s immigration policy proposals. “The most important thing we need to address is that there is no sensible immigration plan. He had a deportment force – maybe he’s abandoned that now. He wants to build a wall – he was rebuked by the Mexican president,” Blake said. “It’s hard to take Trump seriously because he has shifted his positions. If we are going to have a serious conversation about meaningful immigration reform then Trump has to bring some serious ideas to the table,” he added.
