Ken Fisher Interviewed
Ken Fisher of our New York office, an expert in eminent domain, was just interviewed on WCBS-TV regarding Columbia University Expansion Approval. The university's expansion into West Harlem, which was opposed by local residents and business owners, has been approved by the state’s highest court. The expansion will bring 16 new buildings, two acres of open space and 6,000 new jobs into the area. Ken explains that in order for the approval to happen, the court had to find that not only is Columbia serving a public benefit but that the area is in need of renewal and can be considered a blighted community.
