NEW YORK, March 25, 2022 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Katie Schwab, managing director of the firm’s Public Strategies group has been selected as a recipient of City & State Above & Beyond: Women Awards. This award recognizes women who exhibit exemplary leadership in their fields and have made important contributions to society in the sectors of business, public service, media, nonprofit, and organized labor.
Schwab provides savvy strategic insight and advice to nonprofits, trade organizations, and major corporations on how to build community support and navigate New York City’s complex regulatory, legislative, and procurement systems. Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, she served in city government across three mayoral administrations, and as deputy commissioner for comprehensive planning for the Nassau County Planning Commission in the administration of County Executive Tom Suozzi. She also served as the director of government and corporate affairs for Cemusa Inc., an international street furniture and outdoor advertising company.
“I am flattered by this recognition and honored to stand beside other amazing leaders such as Barbara Blair and Victoria Lamberth,” said Schwab. “Now is an exciting time to be a woman engaged in New York’s civic fabric, with so many strong women who are elected officials, community leaders, and executives shaping the policy landscape. It’s energizing to convene and acknowledge that we can work collaboratively and respectfully with each other to craft the outcomes that New Yorkers seek and deserve.”
