Federal agents raided the homes of several top aides to Mayor Adams on Wednesday and Thursday. Law enforcement searched the homes of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, Schools Chancellor David Banks, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Phil Banks, and NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban. The Mayor’s Chief Counsel released a statement stating, “Investigators have not indicated to us the mayor or his staff are targets of any investigation.”
A former aide of Gov. Hochul and former Gov. Cuomo, Linda Sun, has been charged with 10 criminal counts, including visa fraud, money laundering, and other crimes. Sun was charged with acting as an agent for the Chinese government. She served in government for over 10 years, most recently as Gov. Hochul’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Commissioner for Strategic Business at the Department of Labor before her termination in March 2023 following “evidence of misconduct.” Sun pleaded not guilty to all charges in federal court.

In what will be a multi-year project, Boldyn plans to install 5G throughout NYC’s 418-mile network of subway tunnels, at no cost to the MTA. Cell coverage will next be installed in the East River tunnel accessed by the 4 and 5 lines between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
