WASHINGTON, September 28, 2026 — Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, the bipartisan government relations and communications affiliate of international law firm Cozen O’Connor, today announced the addition of Alex Calabro as principal in its Washington, D.C., office.
Alex provides guidance to clients navigating political dynamics in Washington, helping them advance their priorities before Congress and the administration. His client-centered, relationship-driven approach is grounded in a keen understanding of how legislative and regulatory actions affect client priorities. Alex maintains strong relationships with congressional Democrats, Democratic Caucus leadership, and members of the Washington business community. He has a track record of helping clients in highly regulated industries achieve their policy objectives.
Prior to Public Strategies, Alex served as senior advisor of federal government relations at ExxonMobil Corporation, where he led the company’s Democratic advocacy strategy on Capitol Hill, directed corporate engagement with House and Senate Democrats, and advised senior business leaders on policy developments and political exposure. He also managed ExxonMobil’s relationships with key industry trade associations and served as secretary of the ExxonMobil Political Action Committee.
Earlier in his career, Alex served as PAC director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and as an associate at a boutique Democratic political fundraising firm, where he raised millions of dollars for Democratic congressional candidates across the country.
Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Miami University.
