About Leila

Leila supports the New York Public Strategies team by monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory activity at the state level.

Leila previously interned with New York State Assemblymember Rebecca Seawright and the Domestic Violence Bureau of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. During the 2025 electoral cycle, she served as a field operations fellow on the successful campaigns of Mark Levine for New York City Comptroller and Virginia Maloney in District 4’s City Council race.

Leila graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minors in Legal Studies and Women, Gender, and Sexualities Studies.
