Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies (CPS) announced that Jessica I. Monahan — a transportation policy expert who has secured federal funding for a range of nonprofits, local governments, Fortune 100 companies, emerging businesses, and government contractors — has joined its Washington D.C.-based lobbying team as a senior principal.
Margaret is a legislative analyst with the DC Public Strategies team. In this role, she monitors legislation and Congressional hearings, tracks media coverage, and analyzes public policy and regulatory activities at the federal level.
Prior to joining the firm, Margaret attended Georgetown University. While pursuing her education, she interned with Mindset, a public policy firm based in DC. During her time at Mindset, Margaret analyzed and tracked federal policies, industry regulations, and technological developments in the energy and environment sectors. Additionally, Margaret conducted outreach for Evolve Governance, a startup nonprofit focused on social innovation and community organizing.
Margaret recently graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.A. in justice and peace studies and a minor in government.
