About Saumya
Saumya is a legislative analyst with the DC Public Strategies team. In this role, she monitors legislation and congressional hearings, tracks media coverage, and analyzes public policy and regulatory activities at the federal level.
Prior to joining the firm, Saumya served as an appropriations intern at Enterprise Community Partners, an affordable housing nonprofit organization, where she focused on rural and tribal housing.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Riverside. During her undergraduate studies, she lobbied with her university’s legislative advocacy team for affordable housing, accessible mental health services, and expanded grant opportunities.
Saumya is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy with a specialization in Social Policy at The George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration.
