Cozen O’Connor Announces Eight New Shareholders

PHILADELPHIA, September 23, 2024 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce the promotion of eight members to shareholders: Alexandra Campau, Nathan Dooley, Kyle Farnam, Paul Ferland, Matthew Glavin, Aaron Lukas, Dana Meyers, and Judd Serotta.

Alexandra Campau is a member of Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies and the managing director and director of health policy in Washington, D.C. Campau focuses her practice on federal health care issues, guiding clients through the regulatory and legislative health care landscape, while advocating on their behalf to help shape policy and ensure their perspectives are heard and understood. Prior to rejoining the firm in 2018, Campau served in positions in the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and White House.

Nathan Dooley is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group in the Los Angeles office. Dooley serves as counsel on high-profile complex commercial litigation matters filed in California. He represents some of the firm’s most prominent clients and his successes include a string of victories in consumer class action cases brought in state and federal court.

Kyle A. Farnam is a member of the firm’s Subrogation & Recovery department in Seattle. His practice involves handling a wide variety of property damage claims. He has represented the insurance industry and individual owners in cases involving construction defects, product liability, and maritime losses. In addition to being admitted to state and federal courts in Washington, Farnam has handled cases in Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Hawaii.

Paul C. Ferland is co-chair of the firm’s Property Insurance group in the firm’s New York office. He has significant experience advising clients regarding the multifaceted issues that arise out of damage to property including, but not limited to, natural disasters, explosions, fires, equipment failures, and collapses. He is also skilled at handling the difficult issues that can accompany property damage claims, such as business interruption losses, allegations of bad faith, and various contract and tort-based issues as well. Significantly, Ferland has developed strong relationships in the London Market.

Matthew T. Glavin is a managing director in the Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies group and a member in the law firm in the Chicago office. Glavin helps clients navigate the complex legislative and regulatory terrain in Illinois. Before joining Cozen O’Connor, Glavin served as the national director of government affairs for American Water, overseeing legislative and regulatory policy in 47 states for the largest privately owned water utility in the country.

Aaron Lukas, Ph.D. is co-chair of the firm’s Hatch-Waxman & Biologics practice and works out of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Lukas is a registered patent attorney who concentrates his practice on complex patent cases for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and semiconductor industries. He also has experience in  intellectual property rights matters at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board on behalf of both patent owners and challengers. In addition to patent litigation, his practice includes representing clients seeking patentability, infringement, and invalidity analyses, as well as developing strategic plans for clients seeking to protect their intellectual property around the world.

Dana Meyers is a member of the firm’s Subrogation & Recovery department in the  San Diego office. Meyers has conducted more than 20 civil bench trials to verdict as sole chair in subrogation and consumer collection actions. She has litigated hundreds of state and federal cases throughout California from inception to settlement or trial, covering a broad range of legal issues including subrogation, construction defect, product liability, and consumer collections.

Judd A. Serotta is a member of the Private Client, Trusts and Estates group in Philadelphia. Serotta counsels high net worth individuals and families on protecting and preserving their wealth and assets. Serotta has considerable experience assisting families in the preparation of wills, revocable (living) trusts, and irrevocable trusts, in addition to other documents designed to assist in the prudent transmission and preservation of our clients’ wealth. In addition, he serves as a family adviser on a variety of issues faced by numerous large, extended families where wealth accumulation and inheritances must be paired with the promotion of shared family values.
