December 2, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C., DECEMBER 2, 2021 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Patrick Martin and Towner French, respectively managing director and senior principal at the firm’s Public Strategies group, have been named to The Hill’s 2021 Top Lobbyists: Hired Guns list. The Hill is one of the most influential politics-focused news sites, providing non-partisan political commentary and covering the White House, the U.S. Congress, and election campaigns. The Top Lobbyists highlights the broad range of talents needed to achieve success in the industry and includes “key players who the nation’s biggest companies, advocacy groups, labor unions, and trade associations turn to when they want their voices heard in the nation’s capital.” 2021 was one of the busiest years on record for lobbyists, and the winners are “the people who wielded their connections and knowledge most effectively for their clients.”

Patrick directs the firm’s government relations and public advocacy efforts in the Midwest and works out of the firm’s Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices. His practice focuses on advising highly regulated companies in the health care, energy, financial services, retail, transportation, cannabis, and higher education industries. Patrick advocates for clients before Congress, the White House, federal agencies, and state and local governments.

Towner advises a diverse portfolio of clients on a broad range of legislative issues, including health care, financial services, tax, transportation, natural resources, and foreign policy. Before joining the firm, Towner was a partner at Capitol Counsel LLC, where he built a reliable portfolio of clients with matters before Congress and multiple administrations. He previously served for nearly 15 years as a legislative and process specialist in the House of Representatives.
